ISP is operated by satellite Regional Licensees. Each Licensee is responsible for the full accreditation and certification cycle including processing applications, assigning registered auditors, awarding the credential, and maintaining all records of applicants, candidates and certificants.
North American ISPQ Regional Licensee: Interstate Renewable Energy Council
The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) has been working for over two decades as a non-profit organization committed to moving renewable energy resources into the marketplace. IREC emphasizes quality assessment, stakeholder coordination, technical assistance, workforce development and training, the adoption and implementation of uniform guidelines and standards, consumer protection, and building networks to share experiences and information. In July 2005, IREC became the North American Licensee for the ISPQ International 01021 Standard for Renewable Energy Training Accreditation and Instructor Certification Programs. European ISPQ Regional Licensee: ISPQ-Europe
ISPQ-Europe is a non-profit organization set up in 2001 in the UK. ISPQ-Europe acts as European Regional Office of Institute for Sustainable Power (ISP). Its goal is capacity building and reducing the risk of failure in renewable energy and energy efficiency projects by providing international quality standards for training organizations serving renewable energy practitioners in Europe and rest of the world.
